I’ve added 2 more shows to my holiday schedule – both at Brazee in Oakley… The first is this Friday (11/13/15) and the next one is December 11. Brazee is a glass art studio that teaches glass working and rents studio space to local artists. On the second Friday of each month they have an ‘open studio’ day with live music, art for sale, and glass blowing demonstrations.

The event goes from 6 – 9 pm, and I’ll be there with my light switch covers and jewelry. Also, they are only a block away from the Redtree Art Gallery & Coffee Shop, which has their monthly art opening at the same time. Redtree’s November opening is featuring  ‘Cincinnati Brews’ and the topic of their December opening is ‘Red’.

This weekend will be the first of 3 Essex Studios art walks this fall. The show starts Friday, 6 to 10pm, then continues Saturday, also 6-10pm.

I will be introducing my ‘Bargain Bin’, featuring deeply discounted art that has been around a little too long. This weekend, the bin will have switch plates that just haven’t sold. Some of these have funky colors or weird patterns, some have nothing wrong other than that they are painted on combination plates that require just the right location. So check your walls before you come out – one of these plates might be perfect for you! I plan to continue the ‘Bargain Bin’ through the fall, or until I sell any and all art that has been around way too long.

Essex Studios is located at 2511 Essex Place, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206 in the neighborhood of Walnut Hills. There are free parking lots, in front of and behind the building. I’ll be set up with the visiting artists in my usual spot in one of the hallways near the front door. To get here from the north, take the Taft exit off I-71. From the south, take the Reading exit.

The next two Essex shows are Nov. 6 & 7 and Dec. 4 & 5, 2015.

We had a great show at CliftonFest yesterday. I worked on my chalk art while Dan manned the booth. I had my best sales day ever (yay!) beating my previous sales record by over $100. Plus we gave out over a 100 business cards, all linking back to this site, so now I need to blow the dust off my sad neglected beginnings of a website and turn it into something useful.

I’ve added a page for upcoming shows. I’ll be updating this as plans are finalized, so check back from time to time.

My first show of 2015 is this weekend:  the Essex Studio Art Walk, Friday March 6^th and Saturday March 7^th, from 6pm to 10pm both days. I will be there in one of the main hallways, with my ink painted switch plates, magnets, and an assortment of polymer clay knick-knacks and jewelry.

The address is 2511 Essex Place, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206. There is free parking both in front of and behind the building.

This will be a central location for show announcements, links to my online Etsy Shop, my Facebook page, and maybe an occasional tutorial.
